Market
Thailand ranks 17th globally on Chainalysis's 2025 adoption index, around 6 million holders, roughly 9 percent of the population. THB stablecoin volume runs about 9.4 billion USD, second largest in APAC behind Korea. Licence gated market, 2 to 3 years and 10 to 100 million THB in capital to enter from zero.
Upside, conditional
A derivatives extension framework opened this year, application window slated for Q4. The seller claims to be the only entity currently eligible to apply, since the prerequisite is holding both licences already in place here. If granted, this would allow structured yield managed funds, DCI and covered call type products, to Thai retail, currently unavailable through any channel.
