Description

Replit is an AI-powered software creation platform that lets anyone build and deploy applications from a web browser. Founded in 2016, it began as a cloud-based integrated development environment (IDE) that removed the need to install local software or configure complex tools. Today, it has evolved into a full-stack agentic development environment where users can write, test, host, and ship software from a single interface.

The platform serves a wide range of users, from students learning to code to enterprise teams prototyping internal tools. One notable use case enables non-technical professionals to build functional software by simply describing what they want in plain English. Its flagship product, Replit Agent, takes a natural language prompt and autonomously plans, codes, tests, and deploys a working application. This positions Replit not just as a tool for professional engineers but as a gateway for a new class of software creators. The platform supports over 50 programming languages and offers one-click deployment with built-in authentication, databases, and autoscaling.

Replit entered Y Combinator in 2018, marking the start of its formal fundraising journey. For several years, the company saw slow monetization growth, reaching roughly $2.8 million in annualized revenue by early 2024. The launch of Replit Agent in September 2024 changed that dramatically. Annualized revenue surged from $2.8 million to $150 million in under a year, and the platform grew to over 40 million registered users.

That explosive growth has attracted significant investor attention. Andreessen Horowitz backed the company as early as its seed round in 2018 and has continued participating in subsequent raises. Other notable backers include Y Combinator, Coatue, Craft Ventures, and Khosla Ventures. In September 2025, Replit closed a $250 million Series E round led by Prysm Capital, with strategic participation from Amex Ventures and Google's AI Futures Fund. The round valued the company at $3 billion, nearly three times its 2023 valuation. By January 2026, a follow-on raise pushed that valuation to $9 billion, reflecting the pace at which investor confidence in AI-native development platforms has accelerated.

Replit is pre-IPO, so you can't just open your Robinhood app and buy shares. The shares aren't publicly tradable. For most retail investors, that ends the conversation. But it doesn't have to.

You can still buy Replit stock through OTC (over-the-counter) trading, which is exactly what Acquire.Fi is built for. We connect buyers directly with Replit team members and early backers who want to cash out their private holdings. No exchange or IPO needed.

There are two ways to get in as a buyer:

  1. Browse existing sell listings: Active sellers have already posted their shares with a price and ticket size. You find something that works, you move forward.
  2. Submit your own Buy listing: Set your own ticket size and valuation. Sellers come to you when there's a match.

You may also sell Replit stock OTC. Whether you're an early employee, an angel, or a fund with a position you need to wind down, this marketplace works for you too.

You can either respond to live buy-side interest or create your own Sell listing and wait for a qualified buyer to come to you. Discreetly. On your terms.
